4 Month Stats..a little late

Sorry it has taken me so long to post Lilly's 4 month stats and achievements..it has been a crazy weird month here. Our laptop has gone kaput, and that is where I kept all of my pictures and videos. Mike and I had to do CPR on the computer and it worked just long enough to get all of my goodies off, I have learned my lesson, keep all important stuff on the external hard drive :)

At her 4 month appointment Lilly weighed 15.3 lbs and was 24.5 inches long. She is in the 80%tile in weight and 50%tile in length. Of course we knew all along we would have a short child..look at Mike and I, we aren't the tallest people on the planet. She also started rolling over on her tummy to sleep and she scared the poop out of me a couple of times when I saw her sleeping face down! I guess she just likes the way her sheets smell :) She is also starting to sit up more, she can sit for a couple of seconds unassisted and then the topples over to the side or forwards and eats her feet, quite literally.

I can't believe she didn't wake up when I took this picture :) This is the very first time she slept on her tummy!

"Pooh Bear, Winney the Pooh Bear"

We also had another UTI..my poor baby started running a fever with no other symptoms and I knew almost instantly that meant it was another UTI. So we went to the doctor and the did a catheter to get a "clean" urine sample and they ran some tests and yup it was another UTI. Then she had an adverse reaction to the amoxicilin, poor thing puked like 5 times in two days, so we went back to the doctor to get a shot of antibiotics and a new prescription. We got a call later that day saying the lab left out a test, so we had to go back to the doctor (third time in one week) to get another catheter urine sample. That was the hardest thing in the world, I know it must have been painful for her, she screamed her little head off..but daddy was there to pick her up as soon as they were done. We finally got the last results back and the UTI had cleared! We thought we were going to have to go to the urologist to get an renal ultrasound and have dye injected in her kidneys to check for any anatomical problems, but the doctors said to wait, that this UTI just may have been because of the monster dirty diaper (I suspected this all along).

This is almost an obligatory sick picture in our house. Poor baby was so hot I only had her in a diaper!

Napping in her swing..sick as a puppy dog!

Now on the monster dirty diaper :) We started Lilly on rice cereal every other day to get her accustomed to eating solids and sitting in her high chair. She loves love loves the rice cereal, I think it is mainly because it is mixed with her favorite thing in the world breast milk! Well she went about 5 days without pooping, then all of a sudden one day her body caught up with her. I'll leave out the details here as to not embarrass Lilly :) But yeah, I think that is why she got another UTI.

First Cereal Picture! It was more like soup but Lilly loved it!

Giggles

Lilly loves her jumperoo! She’s getting the idea of jumping too! Take a look.  She has also found her voice and she “talks” so much! I can’t seem to catch her talking on the video camera just yet that may come later. Hopefully!

We go to the doctor for Lilly’s four month check up on Thursday so I’ll post her stats and some pictures of my big 4 month old!

Look Feet!

Last week Lilly Pie found her feet! And she spent a whole nap just laying in her crib holding her feet and I can only guess what she was thinking.  Probably, “hmmm how can I get these things in my mouth,” which is the same way she looks at Max sometimes.  The next morning when I got up and went to her room, I noticed that the feet on her pj’s were soaping wet..I guess she figured out how to get them in her mouth :)

Crafty day #2

Yesterday was a fun and exciting craft day…Lilly and I went on an adventure to Joann Fabric and to Michael’s in Metairie in attempt to get some fabric and some other stuff for ideas that I had.

The first idea…I am so tired of people calling my child a boy, “Oh how old is he?” asked by a strange passer by at Wal-Mart.  “SHE is almost 4 months old,” says the mom of a baby wearing all PINK! Seriously!! You could just say, “oh how old is your baby,” and that would solve it all.  My idea is headbands! I had some for Lilly but they were so tight they left imprint on hear head.  And I saw some super cute ones on the internet with flowers on them.  So I decided to venture out into the world o’ crafts and try to make some.

The Supplies

Here’s the finished product, they are interchangeable

And here’s my precious model, sorry for the lack of smiles, she was sleepy since she decided to play with her feet in her crib instead of nap.

I spent a total of $23 on these and can make probably anywhere between 20 and 50 more flowers.  These sell on the internet for about $15 a piece and do not have interchangeable flowers! Now some of them are on crocheted headbands that I assume are made by hand but I cannot crochet and would rather just buy stretch lace.

And here are some pictures of my 16 week old! Ahhh…I can’t believe it she is almost 4 months old already.

Lilly likes the jumperoo so far, she doesn’t jump yet but there are lots of fun things to look at..oh and she is still a little too short as you can tell by the bottom picture.

She is such a girly girl already, anything that can be turned into jewelry will be turned into jewelry..hence the link bracelet and the teether bracelet.

And last but not least, thanks Amaw for my pretty flower headband, momma and daddy have decided that it is mandatory to take a picture of me in it every day :)

Wow…three years already!

Yesterday was our three year anniversary, I cannot believe we have been married for three years!

Let’s look back…..

When I moved to Pennsylvania in April of 2005 I moved there knowing that marriage was inevitable!  We both knew that we were perfect for each other and that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other.  So when Mike found out he was deploying in July of 2006 we decided to go ring shopping, we picked out rings but did not buy them…hmm I should have known that there was a surprise in store :)  So on July 1st at about 7:30 in the morning Mike started digging in his nightstand drawer and then rolled over with a ring and proposed to my while I was laying in bed.  He said something to the tune of, “I know this is a big step and I should be nervous but I’m not because I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”  And of course I said YES!

We took this later that night in Somerset, PA

On July 18, 2006, just 8 short days before Mike deployed we got married at the Justice of Peach in Harrisburg, PA!  We had some of our closest friends from PA attend.  It was short and sweet, but perfect!  Of course Mike had to be different and didn’t say “I will” he said, “I most certainly will.” That right there just further proved to me that I was marrying the most perfect man in the world for me!

I love this picture, all because of the look on Mike’s face, he has always been so anti-emotion, but here you can truly tell how happy he is.

And a *KISS* to seal the deal

We even had a “reception”

I never thought my friends would get us a cake! But they did and we got to feed it to each other!

And of course now, he’s frowning because he has realized that he’s stuck with me :)

Wedding 041

We decided to spend our anniversary hanging out around the house and then go out to eat at Chili’s.  We had a great day and a good dinner!

Here’s our little family before going out to eat.
